Sadness
A day comes when you want to hide,
Your nightmares come, and they come strong,
Your heart clambers and puzzled runs,
And all you wish is that this moment lied.
You cry and cry but tears are sad too,
They don’t come out for the fear of being true,
Your eyes don’t believe the visual brew,
But your heart knows this
A part of you has died.
Your feet give up now cemented well,
Your creative thought on death now dwell,
The rings that guarded the deeds you did
Now lost in time, when the time was swell.
As your body weeps you try to hide,
You know
A part of you has died.
Your life now moves away unsmeared,
Of the grief that besieges your wilting soul,
Your core , of emotion hard and grim,
Now must in the ocean of sadness swim
Your life now walks away to something else its tied.
You know
A part of you has died.
Logic now embarrassed again rewinds,
As I tread my brutal thought, like mines,
Your luck now fleeting and febrile.
My heart will weep when I see these lines.
You know
A part of you has died.
